YEAR seven pupils were treated to an early insight into Haygrove School’s commitment to internationalism and world culture when they attended a three-day intensive Language Summer School.
The students experienced taster sessions in the four main languages they can study at Haygrove School, which are Spanish, German, French and Mandarin.
Workshops in world cookery and international art were also given, and on their final day, the pupils shared a typical French breakfast menu of croissants and jam.
This summer-time initiative has been a key part of the work delivered by the school in order to help students settle into life at Haygrove School and to appreciate the school’s focus on languages and internationalism.
