BUSINESSES in Bridgwater are being warned about companies ‘cold calling’ claiming they will be able to substantially reduce business rate payments.
Sedgemoor District Council say businesses can make an appeal direct to the Valuation Office, without going through a third party and are advising owners to check out the credentials of anyone visiting their property and say there should be no need to pay up front.
For further information please contact the Valuation Officer direct at www.voa.gov.uk or by telephoning 03000 507000.
