THE Vagabonds Carnival Club in Bridgwater enjoyed their 68th annual charity dinner.
The group met at The Bridgwater and Albion Rugby Club on Saturday, May 9, with a meal and a charity presentation.
Two cheques of £800 were presented to two different charities – Somerset Neonatal Unit, which is a specialised ward for the treatment of premature and sick newborn babies, and The Josh Evans Trust Fund, which fundraises for diabetic children and their families in Somerset.
Prior to the dinner and during the run-up to Christmas, the Vagabonds collected funds alongside their Christmas float for both charities, meaning they were able to raise the impressive sums of £800 for each.
