AN estate agent has come up with just the right move to help carnival clubs in Bridgwater.
Wilkie May and Tuckwood, based in St Mary Street, has pledged that for every house sale it will donate £100 to the carnival club the vender is associated with.
Dave Stokes, publicity officer for Bridgwater Guy Fawkes Carnival Committee, said: “On behalf of everybody I would like to thank Wilkie May and Tuckwood for their generosity.
“It’s a really innovative way of raising extra funds for local carnival clubs, and this kind of contribution will ensure our 2015 carnival on Saturday November 7 is the best one ever.”
Nick Hale, branch partner of Wilkie May and Tuckwood, added: “Bridgwater Carnival has always been a big part of my family life, and it is nice to be able to play a part helping local carnival clubs with their fundraising.”
