There was a lucky escape for workers after a piling rig toppled over on a construction site in Bridgwater last week, and this morning heavy machinery arrived to tackle the toppled equipment.

The driver of the rig escaped from the cabin unhurt after the incident at the Notaro Care Home site on the A39.

The area around the rig, which is used to drive large poles into the ground, was cordoned off while the investigation was carried out.

Two large cranes arrived today to right the machinery.

Work started on the £10million care home in March and is expected to be finished by October next year.
