YOUNG and old alike came out to enjoy the fun and games at the at North Newton Primary School’s May Fair.
Children came in fancy dress and danced around the May Pole to mark the onset of summer while adults took advantage of the sunshine and refreshments.
Mayor of North Petherton Alan Bradford was on hand to declare the May Fayre officially open before staying to enjoy the festivities with the rest of the visitors who had turned out for the event.
The event featured fun for all the family with May Pole dancing, sword dancing, competitions, a raffle, refreshments and even stocks to soak the North Newton head teacher as well as some parents.
Funds raised during the event will go toward the Parent Teacher Association.
