YOUNGSTERS and staff at Cannington Pre-School have been praised by Ofsted inspectors during a recent when they were awarded a ‘Good’ rating.
The charity committee-run pre-school situated on the site of Cannington C of E Primary School was commended for the strong partnerships that have developed between staff and parents and carers.
There were also plaudits for the planning of activities to motivate the children.
Inspectors also noted that “children develop close attachments to their ‘key person’” and that praised the ‘buddy’ system used by the school.
The pre-school offers funding for two-year-olds as well as the fifteen hours per week funding for three to four-year-olds.
Emma Nurse, pre-school supervisor, said: “I would like to thank the staff and committee for their hard work, dedication, commitment, on-going passion and support in continuing to ensure a high level of quality care and education for all children.”
