MORE than half of 18 to 24-year-olds in the South-West would prefer to receive hard cash rather than a Christmas present, according to a recent survey.
According to the figures 54.5% of those polled said they would prefer money to fund other activities such as holidays.
The poll, commissioned by insurance firm Essential Travel, also revealed that a Christmas gift is more important for older people, with only 12% of over- 65s favouring money as a gift.
