FIRE crews helped free a heavily pregnant horse stuck in a ditch in Woolavington this morning.
Two fire crews and the specialist animal rescue team from Bridgwater were sent to the scene around 8am.
A fire spokesman said: "Crews liaised with the owner of horse and a vet to establish a plan for the rescue.
"Crews released the horse using strops and lines. The horse was left with a vet to be assessed."
