ALL things were bright and beautiful at the annual Nether Stowey Flower Show held this month with a chance for everyone to get creative and colourful.

Organisers said it was another successful flower show enjoyed by a hall full of people viewing the 369 entries exhibited by 64 competitors.

Village stalwart Marion Evered opened the show, talking about her many years in the village and how it had changed over the years.

She thanked everyone for their entries and thanked the committee for all their hard work putting on this year’s show, which was held on August 16.

Flower show spokesman Jackie Hellier said: “Although numbers were slightly down on last year, the hall was filled with a variety of delightful smells and colours, proving what a talented community Nether Stowey and the surrounding villages have.”
