PLANS for a new play area in North Petherton have been delayed for a second time while talks continue about whether the location is suitable.
Sedgemoor district councillors first deferred a decision on whether or not to give the go-ahead for a multi-use games area on land east of Rosa Way in July. However, the decision has been put on hold again after August’s planning meeting.
This time, the delay will be for a couple of meetings while talks continue between residents and developers of the scheme.
Concerns have been raised about the security and accessibility of the site so a site visit was arranged for councillors to take a look for themselves.
North Petherton Mayor Alan Bradford said: “I support the residents’ concerns and I hope, by talking, some of these concerns can be alleviated.”
