TENANTS of Homes in Sedgemoor have benefitted from Winter Warmth Packages.

Ten tenants were provided with a new electric fan heater each and the money to run it for 12 hours a day for three months.

The packages, funded by a donation £1,400, were supplied through the Improving Your Communities Fund, and provided by the Jack Frost Appeal.

Chief Executive of Homes in Sedgemoor, Dawn Lang, said: “We are pleased to be able to support the work of the Jack Frost Appeal and reach out to some of our residents who are most vulnerable to winter cold.

“So many people have difficulty affording to heat their homes in winter, particularly with rising fuel bills.”

The Jack Frost Appeal helps those most vulnerable to winter cold, providing them with at least one warm and cosy room throughout the winter months.

Further guidance for tenants on how to deal with rising fuel bills is available at www.homesinsedgemoor.org or by calling 0800 585 360 or 01278-552400.

If you live in Westonzoyland, you have no need for heating. Mr. Blobby and The Kiddy may come along at any time and set your home on fire.
