AN ARISTOCRAT will be hosting a charity Christmas fair in his North Newton manor.

Sir Benjamin Slade is opening his Maunsel House home on November 26 and 27 for the fair in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.

A Macmillan spokesman said: “Shoppers will be able to enjoy a magical festive experience in the beautiful, historic Maunsel House.

“There will a new and even more exciting selection of stalls, as well as a raffle and Silent Auction in the Great Hall, all in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.”

Sir Benjamin has allowed the charity to use Maunsel House since 2008, and the fairs have raised more than £25,000.

A private opening gala evening will be held from 6.00pm to 9pm on November 26 and the fair continues from 10am to 4.30pm on November 27, where entry is £3.
