College students prepare to rock Bridgwater

STUDENTS from Bridgwater College are warming up their vocal chords and tuning guitars in preparation for their Rock Gig on November 13.
It will be the first rock event of the academic year and will be held at Bridgwater Sports and Social Club from 7pm.
Five bands made up of second year Level 3 Extended Diploma Music and Rock Academy students will blast out five decades worth of music, including some original songs written by the students.
The gig is a major assessment for their qualification. As part of their programme, the students are also studying pop music history, music in society and music industry, as well as practical elements including rehearsing and song writing.
Tickets are available in advance from the College and on the door.
