Shepton Mallet Carnival: More success for Bridgwater's clubs

Gremlins CC Gremlins CC

GREMLINS CC are more than halfway to a clean sweep of the Somerset County Guy Fawkes Carnival Association circuit, after recording a fourth win out of four at last night’s Shepton Mallet Carnival.

Gremlins won the feature class with Wild Bill’s Runaway Train, and are on course to claim the County Cup, which they shared last year with Gemini CC of Ilminster. Two other Bridgwater clubs, Newmarket CC and Marina Sydenham JCC, are also on course for silverware, after keeping up their 100% winning streak.

Newmarket’s It’s A Sin cart won the comic class, while Marina Sydenham’s Africa won the juvenile cart category.

The related link to the results does not work, they are already on the internet on the Carnival Chronicle and Somerset Carnivals websites, far better carnival coverage.

On a sad note last night whilst Gemini CC were at Shepton Mallet, morons broke into their shed near Ilminster and set it alight. Six fire engines were in attendance.

Never mind though IF they are evr caught, they will have their hands slapped by the courts, oh just to get my hands on them.
