North Petherton Carnival raises £17,400

North Petherton Carnival has raised a whopping £17,400 – up on last year’s £15,874.
North Petherton Carnival president Eileen Brunton said she was happy with the amount raised and attributed it in part to the good weather.
She said: "We have found it difficult to raise money in the past because of the weather, so we are very happy with the amount raised this year. It is one of our highest amounts."
