North Petherton carnival is tonight!

DON’T forget that this year’s stunning carnival procession will make its way to North Petherton tonight!

With road closures in place from 5.15pm, be sure to get down early and secure a prime position in the heart of the village and enjoy the magical spectacle.

North Petherton carnival president Eileen Brunton said: “There will be plenty of parking and the easy route means there will be lots of places for people to stop and watch – not just at the beginning or end, but also in the middle on the village.

“It’s not a small carnival so please come and try to dig deep and help us keep the thing going. The worst thing would be if the tradition has to be stopped.

“It was a wash out last year, and we are hoping against tope that the weather will hold out for us on Saturday.”

Last year, North Petherton’s own Pentathlon CC wowed with their dramatic Get the Party Started (By Invitation Only), and they walked away with the local tableau cup – but what is in store this year?
