A TEAM of year eight students at East Bridgwater Community School came second in a chemistry competition at the University of Bath.
The school competed against 17 schools from across the Southwest to solve a Who Dunnit mystery at the Salters' Festival Challenge.
All the groups had to use forensic-style chemistry techniques to identify five unlabelled salts and the team put their problem solving skills to the test to identify who was responsible for mixing the salts up.
The team, consisting of young chemists Stephanie Cox, Josh Jones, Sam Tear and Carrie-Anne Stone, won a cheque for £50 and were presented with winners' certificates.
