School projects a huge boost to Bridgwater economy

Cllr Frances Nicholson
THREE school building projects have created 60 jobs, 12 apprenticeships and injected £12.7million into Bridgwater’s economy.
Cllr Frances Nicholson, Somerset County Councillor responsible for children and families, welcomed the positive impact of work on Chilton Trinity Technology College, Robert Blake Science College and Elmwood School.
She said: “I am really pleased to see the evidence of the boost the construction of these new schools has given to Bridgwater.”
Equipment and furniture from the old school sites not required in the new buildings will be donated to schools, charities and not-for-profit organisations that benefit young people.
