A MOTORIST had to be cut free after his pick-up truck crashed into a ditch in an attempt to avoid a jackknifed coach.

The crash happened on the A39 next to the Olive Mill restaurant at Chilton Polden shortly after 10.20am this morning (October 15).

Police say the driver's injuries are not life-threatening or life-changing.

Hope the driver's ok but Jackknifed coach? Possible it was pulling a trailer otherwise interested to know how a coach can do that.

Yes, my sentiments too. I didn't know we had any bendy-buses in this part of Somerset!?

Indeed, unless we do have bendy-buses that blackmasquerade, pony.toes and I don't know of, the only way I can think of a coach jackknifing is if it split in half! My guess is poor reporting...
