A NURSE from St Margaret's Hospice is hoping to raise £9,000 for the charity by taking on a 75km trek in the Himalayas.
Sue Kilic, from Oakgrove Way in Bridgwater, will be doing the challenge with her daughter, Verity Wood, and her daughter's fiancé, Gary Elliott, from Marsa Way, from Friday (12) until 21.
Sue, 55, said: “We're aiming to raise the total between the three of us and we've had a lot of support and sponsorship already from the community.
“Working at the hospice, I see the good work the charity does every day and I thought this would be a great way of fundraising.”
In 2010 Sue also did a sponsored walk of the Great Wall of China for the charity. The group has been working hard to train for this next fundraising endeavour.
