Road closed for four hours after crash on A39

THIS was the scene of a crash near Williton which left a road closed for four hours today (September 29).

Police and fire crews from Williton and Minehead were called to the A39 Williton side of Washford Cross to a collision between a motorcycle and a car at around 10.30am.

A rescue vehicle from Taunton also attended, as it was unknown if anyone was trapped inside. No people were trapped and there are believed to have been no serious injuries.

The road was closed from 11am to 3pm, as fire crews made the vehicles safe, alongside police and ambulance teams.
