BRYMORE School, in Cannington, began the celebrations of its Diamond Jubilee year by inviting back students from the school’s very first class of 1952.

A school spokesman said: “Current Brymore boys waited eagerly to greet the very men who had walked in their shoes 60 years before and who had been the very first students to sleep in the dormitories and dig the swimming pool that is still used today.”

The current head teacher, Mark Thomas, gave the Brymore old boys a tour of the school before enjoying tea and cake and sharing memories with the senior student leadership team.

Wow, such a great institution for 60 years. I hear such great things about Brymore so it is good to see this.

If we had all been fortunate enough to attend Brimore School, maybe we"d all have good well-paid jobs now, not working our gonads off for £2.65 per hour (overtime occasionally, if u r very lucky indeed).

Any boy can go to Brymore, it is a state school so is funded by the local authority as opposed to a private school which charges fees for tuition...
