BRIDGWATER College has completed a training programme for staff at St Margaret's Hospice shops across Somerset.
Managers, assistant managers and volunteers from 15 of the charity's 24 shops in the county have completed NVQ training in retain management, retail skills and team leading.
A special event was held at the St Margaret's Hospice in Yeovil to mark the end of the training.
Sue Sellick, NVQ trainer at the college, said: “The shops raise over £1 million a year to fund the work of St Margaret's, and they need to be professionally managed and staffed to achieve that incredible target.
“We are delighted to mark the achievement of this group of staff, who have been working particularly hard to complete their qualification.
“We are now looking forward to the assistant managers achieving their NVQs next month.”
