STUDENTS from Year 9 at Bridgwater’s Haygrove School got active during a trip to the Sparkhayes campsite in Porlock.
The camp offers a combination of team-building activities and a mini-expedition which included planning a route, designing a menu and learning camp craft skills.
Some 85 students walked the six-hour expedition route, which took in the sites of Selworthy Beacon, and across the footbridge at Allerford which was built in memory of former Haygrove teacher Bob Rigby.
