MUSIC star Ms Dynamite will be performing to a crowd of students at Bridgwater College’s end of year party.

The college’s Student Union has booked the popular artist to appear alongside other acts at The Palace nightclub on June 28.

The whole party, exclusively for members of the college, is estimated to have cost around £6,000 from funding through the college and fundraising throughout the year by students.

Emily Rowland, 18, ex-president of the Student Union, said: “It’s pretty crazy, some people still don’t believe it’s her.

“We had Pendulum last year so we used the same management people. A few students went to see Ms Dynamite recently and she was really good. She has a good mix of music too.

“We arranged it from start to finish. First we contacted her agents, then we sorted the contract, signed it over, took care of the financing and promoted it within the college.

“We have other acts appearing too such as the Lost Boys from Weston and two DJs including Miss Grace and Haywhire.

“There’s a really great mix of talent.”

The student union arranged the party with help from Sharnna Carter, an ex-student who went on to study events management at university.

Anyone who is joining the college in September who would like to get involved in putting on events can join the Student's Union, follow them on twitter @BCSUnion or on Facebook Bridgwater College Student Union.
