MOVE over CSI...the Bridgwater College team is in town.
Students studying for an Extended Diploma in Forensic Science at the college had the chance to put their skills to the test in a cross-College project.
The group was called to the scene to investigate the suspicious death of 'J Doe' who was found in a flat in Cannington.
The project was supported by students from the Hair and Make-up, Performing Arts and the Drama Academy and included a filmed TV appeal for witnesses, interrogation interviews of the suspects and a thorough crime scene investigation.
Forensics student, Fiona Hardwick, 18, said: “It was a great experience. I enjoyed putting my skills into practice.”
Lecturer Kirsty Stainsby said: “This project was an innovative and creative approach to teaching and learning that enabled students to use their skills to solve a crime.
“It was also a great opportunity for different areas of the College to work together.”
