A SEDGEMOOR charity is supporting a fair trade event at a Bridgwater youth centre.

Mind in Sedgemoor will host a stall at the Recreation youth centre on Thursday (May 17) to raise awareness of the Sunnyside Up charity café and support fair trade products.

Businesses from Grenville House shopping parade in Rhode Lane will be showcasing their produce in the event, which supports local traders.

The initiative is led by the Co-op group, who will be promoting their range of Faitrade products.

The products are grown and packed abroad using local employees and paying them a fair wage.

Sunnyside Up is a registered charity, using income from its five star rated café to subsidise a variety of activities and groups for the community.
