THE Beavers, Cubs and Scouts clubs have raised £160 towards the cost of repairing a North Petherton chuch.
St Mary's Church needs to raise £132,000 to repair a hole in its roof, which has been steadily getting worse in recent years and is now letting water through.
The clubs held a bingo night and presented a cheque to Revds Jane and Mike Haslam.
She said: “The Church Council would like to thank these organisations for their efforts and support as we try to fix the roof.”
The campaign was launched earlier this month and has already raised nearly £3,000.
