SOMERSET people are being asked to help police searching for a released prisoner believed to have breached the conditions of his licence.
Officers in Devon and Cornwall, Dyfed Powys and Gloucester area are seeking Colin Steve Diggle, 54, in connection with burglary, theft of a vehicle and recall to prison.
Mr Diggle was released from prison in late November 2011 on licence and is thought to have since breached the terms of that licence.
Devon and Cornwall Police are proactively following a number of lines of enquiry to ascertain his current location.
Police intend to arrest and question once he has been located.
He is described as white, 6ft 1in tall, of proportionate build, with brown/grey hair and a beard.
He has tattoos of a nude woman on his right arm and the name 'Diane' on both arms.
He has tattoos on both sides of his neck and throat and earrings in both ears.
He has links to North Yorkshire, Norfolk Cleveland, Staffordshire, Lincolnshire Hertfordshire, Suffolk, Avon and Somerset, Durham, and West Mercia.
Police are appealing for anyone who has had recent contact with him to come forward and assist by calling Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800-555111.
Anyone seeing Mr Diggle is advised to call police on 999 and not to approach him directly.
