More jobs at Morrisons

More jobs at Morrisons More jobs at Morrisons

ANOTHER 100 jobs are being created at the Morrisons manufacturing site next to the M5 near Bridgwater.

The posts are being created by the opening of a fruit and vegetable packing unit at the centre.

Martyn Fletcher of Morrisons said: “We are delighted to be creating these jobs in Bridgwater.”

The new warehouse is expected to open next month and bosses at Morrisons said up to 300 more jobs could be created if plans to extend the warehouse come to fruition.

Good news for the unemployed of Bridgwater then.

Unfortunately though, I fear a lot of them may find a cushy life out of work.

ME MOAN? Ha!

Yes. Only about you moaning!

Your the serial dismal negative force on this site all the time. Always first on the scene of a new post ready to get that judgmental remark or spiteful comment in! Even complaining when the Murky posts a small article of remotely good news like children getting involved in community activities, sport or even just someone doing well in their local job!

Does it matter whether it's Polish people that get the jobs or martians? At least they're trying to get work and earn a decent living instead of sitting at keyboards and complaining about the employed.

Well said young robin anybody who has the drive to get off their backside travel over a 1000 miles to a foreign country to find work deserves some credit.

Think you will find these jobs will be already allocated ,as to get an interview the criteria was to attend an 8 day course , just to get to the interview stage so anyone working full or part time would not get a chance to apply unless of course they were prepared to give up the job they already had !!!! so the unemployed locals had the first chance you only have to walk through the town to know who they are the local accent has changed dramtically the last few years I hope they employ local bridgwater people (born and bred) as i think there is growing concern within the local population .

my son applied first time round, went on the courses to enhanch a more successful chance of employment....to be told others were taken on because they were more suited,he was very disheartened to say the least...especially when the college also felt they had been let down by morrisons/dhl.
he now works at tesco's in taunton ,as it was all he could get as the agencies involved also favoured employing polish...
