STUDENT representatives from seven schools across Bridgwater attended the launch of fundraising activities in aid of Unifcef.
The charity held a Blu Mo day to mark their project to provide clean water, sanitation facilities, education and recreational facilities for children and their communities in Mozambique.
The International Inspiration and WASH project takes place fromFebruary 6 to 10.
Event organisers Julie and Paul Cadmore were invited to attend a reception in London to represent the Bridgwater Learning Community.
Unicef President Lord Ashdown, complimented the students and schools on how effectively they worked together to raise such a great amount of money.
Last year 14 schools took part in last year's Blue Mo Day and raised £7,700 for this cause.
· Many local businesses have been approached and asked to donate prizes for the competitions, which are running across the schools. If anyone is able to help please contact Paul Cadmore at Chilton Trinity Technology College.
