MARTIAL Arts and dance demonstrations entertained visitors to the official opening of a new facility in Bridgwater.
The Victoria Park Community Centre was opening on Saturday, with a party at officiated by the Deputy Mayor of Bridgwater, Graham Granter.
The centre offers a range of services, including kick boxing and martial arts with the Bridgwater Martial Arts Academy and a variety of dance with Lola Fisher Academy of Dance.
The centre is run by a “not for profit” management company and receives non-financial support from local agencies including NHS Somerset and Sedgemoor District Council.
Lydia Woodward, director of the management company and project manager of the Victoria Community Enabling Service, said: “The Victoria Park Community Centre offers local people and businesses an outstanding collection of community resources with everything from workshops and advice to a community cafe where you can meet friends for a chat.”
