BIRMINGHAM was the latest target for promoting Brean as a holiday destination last week.
Representatives from Brean Leisure Park, Pontin's and Wookey Hole visited the Midlands as part of the Somerset Tourism Association's 2011 tour.
Delegates visited Asda supermarkets around the city and handed out 5,000 information packs promoting our area to shoppers.
Mike Barsby from Brean Leisure Park said: “We received a very warm welcome from Asda shoppers.
“Tourism is vitally important to the economy of our county creating around 31,000 jobs and a billion pounds income annually.
“Promotional initiatives such as the Midlands tour play a major role in encouraging more people to holiday in our lovely county.”
In March, Mike and fellow tourism champions visited South Wales to encourage people there to our area.
