A FOOTPATH in Highbridge has finally undergone much needed repairs thanks to a £2,000 grant.
The Somerset Community Foundation awarded the cash to the Highbridge War Memorial Trust for the path at Southwell House and Gardens.
The path has fallen into a dangerous state over the years with bumps and cracks but is now safe to walk on again thanks to the repair work.
The verges have been levelled and the cracks filled in at a cost of £3,500 - the remaining money was provided by the war memorial trust.
Despite it not being a public right of way, trustees say they do not want to close the footpath to members of the public.
