STUDENTS from East Bridgwater Community School have returned from a ski trip on the snow covered slopes of northern Italy.
A coach load of 40 students and adults spent a week in Santa Caterina on a skiing course.
For many of the children it was the first time they had been abroad and were not prepared for some of the amazing scenes that greeted them at the top of the mountains.
The resort benefited from brilliant sunshine and plenty of snow and the students mastered their new skills quickly and made remarkable progress by the end of the week.
Party leader Phil Heard said: “It was an amazing privilege to take these young people to Italy.
“They were great ambassadors for the school and I am immensely proud of each and every one of them.”
