MERCURY readers have hit out at plans to close the public toilets at Bridgwater bus station.
A sign has been put up in the East Quay building informing customers the facilities will no longer be available from March 31.
Patricia Glover or Lower Bath Road wrote in to say: "When coaches pull in or people waiting for coaches want to use the toilet where will they go?
"I'm sure Asda will soon get fed up with coach passengers using their toilets."
Frank Pile of Puriton added: "I always need to use those toilets when I'm in town - they are the best ones.
"The nearest other public conveniences must be Penel Orlieu and that's no good when you're desperate."
