TV star Kara Tointon took time out from her Strictly Come Dancing duties to film a documentary on dyslexia at Shapwick School, near Bridgwater.

The former Eastenders actress paid a visit to the specialist school for students with dyslexia to film Kara Tointon: Don't Call Me Stupid, which was shown on BBC3 on Thursday.

Kara, who is dyslexic, oversaw multi-sensory teaching, took part in an English class, and shared her experiences of the condition with students, two of whom appeared in the documentary, talking about the positive impact the school has had on their approach to learning and education.
