A BRIDGWATER-based group which helps people aged 16 to 25 through their problems is celebrating after receiving funding from Children in Need.
Mind in Sedgemoor, based in Church Street, has received £17,000 from the charity to fund its new Walkabout group, which aims to help young people who find mixing in groups difficult, to address their problems so they can attend college or work.
Youth worker co-ordinator Tania Donnelly said: “We are over the moon to have received this funding.
“It means we can now develop the scheme to be long lasting by employing staff and paying for resources.”
