Mum needs cash for life-saving new drug

KINDNESS from strangers in all corners of the world has helped a Bridgwater mum begin a £40,000 course of life-saving drugs - and now her family is appealing for help to fund the rest of the treatment.

Su Llewellyn was diagnosed with colon cancer and advanced liver cancer at the end of last year, and later learned that the tumours were too advanced for chemotherapy to be effective.

Her only hope was a hugely expensive new drug called Avastin - a drug which is not available in the UK on the NHS, but which has boasted some remarkable results in the United States.
