A DRIVER was trapped inside his car after it overturned and came to rest on its roof in a field this evening.
Firefighters were called to Blackwater, Buckland St Mary, just after 7.30pm. They found the driver free inside the car but unable to escape because of its position.
He was released within a few minutes after one of the doors was forced open and was able to walk to the waiting ambulance.
A fire authority spokesperson said no other car was involved.
