THE search for the animal dubbed the Beast Of Sedgemoor has been re-ignited, after reports of another big cat sighting in the area emerged this week.
Documents released by Natural England under the Freedom of Information Act revealed a caller reported seeing a big cat – resembling a jaguar or puma – on the roadside between Mark and Burtle last August.
They claimed the animal was as high as their car.
The Mercury has reported several big cat sightings in the district dating back almost 20 years.
