Police hunt suspect after assault

POLICE launched an investigation after a man received a leg injury during an early morning assault in Bridgwater on the weekend.

The attack happened at around 3.50am on Saturday when the 18-year-old local victim was walking down a lane from College Way to Fairfax Road.

He was approached by another man and assaulted.

The assault left the victim with an injured leg, which had to be treated by paramedics.

Police described the suspect as a white man in his late teens or early 20's and approximately 5’7 tall.

He had a chubby build, was clean-shaven, had a pointed nose and was wearing a dark-coloured hooded top, grey tracksuit bottoms and white trainers.
