Boxing Day hunt in Nether Stowey

HORSEMEN gather with their hounds on the streets of the Sedgemoor village. HORSEMEN gather with their hounds on the streets of the Sedgemoor village.

A BOXING Day tradition was kept up in Nether Stowey on the weekend when hunters and hounds took to the streets of the village.

Crowds braved the chilly conditions to watch the festive hunt meeting, as riders in bright red jackets paraded on horseback, with their hounds close behind.

Hunt supporters turned out in their thousands across the country on Boxing Day, as speculation grows about the future of the Hunting Act, introduced to Britain in 2005.

The Conservatives say they will offer a free vote on the Act, which bans hunting with dogs, if they get into power at the next General Election.

There is no case for repeal. Hunt numbers are up all over the country. Drag hunting is legal. The sense of community, pageantry, heritage, and jobs are all still intact and yet these disgraceful people can’t manage to enjoy themselves unless they are terrifying and killing animals.

Please if you support the hunting act, get your name on the R.O.A.R. (Register Online Against Repeal), an ‘all party’ list at: http://www.campaignf

What’s the problem, have a good look at the roadside, if the Huntsmen don’t get those pesky Foxes then I am sure Mr Michelin Bridgestone and Dunlop to name but a few will ensure there are plenty of maimed and killed foxes for you do-gooders to grieve over…….

Plenty of pedestrians are killed in tragic accidents! Ok to make this a sport for the privileged?
The point so goes over the head of hunt supporters. Great thing is, this may be an election destroyer for Cameron.
