A SERVICE was held at Bridgwater's King Square to mark Remembrance Day this morning.
A congregation of more than 100 people, including the Bridgwater Police force and mayor Ken Richards, gathered at the cenotaph King Square to remember those who died in the First and Second World Wars and subsequent wars since then.
The silence on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month marks the moment the Armistice Treaty was signed between the Allies and Germany at the end of the First World War in 1918.
Check this website throughout the day for more Remembrance Day coverage.
