AFTER just two carnivals it already looks like Bridgwater’s Gremlins CC could be locked in a battle with Gemini CC of Ilminster for the County Cup crown.
Gremlins’ extraordinary, fire-breathing Joust cart followed up its success at Bridgwater Carnival on Friday night by winning the open feature class at North Petherton last night.
Gemini, likewise, made it two open tableaux wins out of two, with the magnificent To The Trees entry.
The full results of North Petherton Carnival will be published on this website later today.

d i must admit, I didn't fancy the idea of being out on a cold, wet and windy night, in fact, I only went because my daughter is a member of the Oasis club and she promised me a great night out even if the weather was awful. I have to say, with hand on heart, that I spent a wonderful few hours in the company of some obviously very committed, wonderful people. What FUN!! I don't think I could fault any of the entrants, the work and hours that had clearly gone into every single one was definately worth turning out to see, even on a horrid night. So, I say 'well done' to everyone involved, it was a dazzling, wonderful, fun and fabulous evening for me........and i suspect it won't be my last visit to carnival!
