A NEW sports coaching scheme aimed at children aged between five and 13 has been launched in Bridgwater.
The Pro-Coaching ‘Let’s Play’ initiative focuses on youngsters who want to take part in summer camp activities in Bridgwater over the summer holidays.
Participants can take advantage of two courses – the Bristol City soccer camp and the multi sports camp, which run daily from 10am until 3pm.
Former Manchester City and Scotland international footballer Tommy Hutchison and his highly experienced team run the soccer camp.
The course aims to improve playing skills and enhance game strategies as well as developing team tactics, and is open to boys and girls of all abilities.
The multi sports camp gives boys and girls the chance to enjoy, learn and develop their skills in basketball, tennis, and dodgeball, and is led by highly qualified coaches.
Toby Fielder, Let’s Play project manager, said: “We are delighted to be launching the Let’s Play initiative here in Bridgwater and will be taking part in events like the youth festival to promote the benefits of children getting involved in grass roots sport.”
The courses will run at East Bridgwater Community School on July 27-31 and August 24-28.
