VOTERS across Sedgemoor will go to the polls on Thursday, June 4, to make a mark on the future of the area via the Somerset County Council elections.
The votes cast will have a knock-on effect on almost every aspect of day-to-day life, as county councillors are responsible for areas including education, social services, streets and roads, transport, council housing and the environment.
Polling will take place in booths across the district between 7am and 10pm. With only a 67.4% voter turnout in the last election, the council hopes more people will use their votes this time.
Go on-line, at bridgwatermercury.co.uk, for the results of the count, which will begin in Bridgwater Town Hall from 9.30am on Friday, June 5.
