A BRIDGWATER fundraiser will be going under the clippers next week to raise money for St Margaret's Somerset Hospice.

Amanda Lamb lost her mother Kath to cancer in May and has decided to shave her head to raise money for the vital cause.

Amanda said: "I cannot wait to have my hair shaved off. I am not nervous at all and it will be a fresh start.

"I feel that this method of fundraising is on more of a personal level for me. My friends and family have been very supportive and I have been spurred on by so many people.

"I am hoping to help more people suffering from cancer, particularly ovarian. It is a deadly disease and I want to do all I can to help."

Amanda is currently collecting sponsorship money and will be having her hair shaved off in the Angel Place shopping centre at midday on Thursday, July 31.

Sponsorship forms are currently available from Strings n' Things and the Shopmobility centre in Bridgwater.
