YEAR 11 pupils at Haygrove School, Bridgwater, arrived at their leavers' prom in style wearing dapper suits and elegant ball gowns.
Held at Taunton's Holiday Inn on a glorious summer's evening, the event saw pupils given the red carpet treatment as they turned up in a variety of vehicles, ranging from the traditional limousines and vintage cars to an outlandish fire engine and even the Mystery Machine van from the cartoon Scooby-Doo.
They enjoyed the chance to celebrate their achievements throughout their secondary school education and to reminisce with teachers and peers about their experiences at Haygrove.
Everyone made the effort to look their debonair best with many of the boys opting for black-tie dinner suits and the girls in radiant ball gowns.
Jon Hellyer, head of year 11, said: "It really was a fantastic evening. Everyone wanted it to carry on long after the event finished at 11pm.
"It was great to see all the students and staff enjoying themselves. A memorable night was had by all and I would like to wish them good luck for the future."
